Project Overview

RWH tasked me with designing a numpad to go alongside their M60-B keyboard. For this project, I modelled the design within Fusion360 and prototyped the product using 3D printing before reaching out to various manufacturers for aluminium prototypes.

Overview

Designed as a dedicated companion piece to the RAMA WORKS M60-B, NUMPAD 01 required precise engineering to match the exact aesthetic, profile, and structural standards of the main keyboard.

Key Contributions

  • Mechanical Engineering: Designed internal mounting, plate layout, and enclosure geometry to align seamlessly with the M60-B.
  • Resin Prototyping: Used a Formlabs 3D resin printer in-house to validate housing tolerances, ergonomics, and component fitment.
  • Manufacturing Coordination: Prepared production CAD files and collaborated with factory partners to produce physical manufacturing prototypes.

Impact

Successfully bridged design intent and factory production, ensuring full hardware compatibility and maintaining strict manufacturing quality standards.
